We are pleased to announce our new President and CEO

Ronald C. Lewis

The Trustees of the Rockwell Fund, Inc. (the “RFI”) announce the selection of Ronald C. Lewis as the fifth President and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation. Mr. Lewis became an RFI Trustee in 2019 and most recently served as Houston’s City Attorney. Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. An experienced trial lawyer, he practiced at Baker Botts LLP for 23 years as an associate and partner. In 2006, he formed Marshall & Lewis, LLP, a litigation boutique, with Diana E. Marshall, the first woman to become a litigation partner at Baker Botts LLP. Over the years, Mr. Lewis served on numerous professional and civic boards including, among others, BakerRipley, Texas Appleseed, the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston Bar Foundation, Every Texan, and the Commission on Lawyer Discipline. He is married to Marcia D. West.

Mr. Lewis follows R. Terry Bell’s stellar career leading Rockwell. Mr. Bell retires after serving Rockwell as an attorney, Board member or President during four decades. With deep appreciation and gratitude for his work, we wish Mr. Bell many thanks for his wonderful service to our community. Under his leadership, we estimate that Rockwell has distributed more than $100,000,000 dollars to address community health issues, dropout prevention strategies, affordable housing, education, and non-profit capacity building among other vital issues. We know that he will enjoy many more successful golf games in retirement, along with the comfort and joy of his large extended family.

The Board of Trustees thanks you for all you do to help address our community’s needs and we are confident that you will be able to count on Rockwell in the future, as you have in the past.
